Lotto Partner Privacy Policy
Effective Oct 20, 2026
Lotto Partner is an unofficial companion app for New York Lottery players. It is operated by Beyond Obsessive LLC, a New York company (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy, contact us at support@beyondobsessive.com.
In short
- No account. You never sign up, log in or give us your name or email to use the app.
- Your numbers stay on your phone. Saved numbers, their names, your settings and every calculation stay on your device.
- Anonymous usage counts. We count which screens and games are used, without knowing who you are.
- Alerts are off until you turn them on. If you do, our server keeps a push token and the games and draw times you follow. It never gets your numbers.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling. We do not show ads, track you across other apps or websites, or sell or share your information.
What stays on your device
The following are stored on your iPhone. Apart from the little described under Alerts, they are never sent to us:
- the numbers you save (with the name of the system that filled one in, if you used one), and any names you give them
- which draw times each number follows, and your alert choices (if you turn alerts on, see Alerts below for the little we receive)
- the last number you checked for each game
- your theme and other settings
- the results of every test, history count and check, which are calculated on your device
- the picture you make with Share, which is drawn on your device. We never receive it. It goes only where you choose to send it
To erase all of this, use Delete everything in the app’s Me tab, or delete the app.
What we collect
Anonymous usage counts
We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count how the app is used, so we can improve it. Each signal contains:
- the name of an event, such as “test run”, “number saved”, “check used”, “result seen”, “share tapped” or “replay watched”
- where relevant, the game (Pick 3, Win 4 or Take 5), the screen and, on the Plan screen, which goal you chose (win more often or win bigger)
- when you open or buy Lotto Partner Pro: that the Pro screen was shown and from where (for example, saving a fourth number), that you started a purchase, that a purchase went through, and whether it was the yearly or the monthly plan. This tells us that a purchase happened. It does not include what you paid, your name, your Apple Account or your payment details, and it is not linked to you
- whether the build is a test build, a TestFlight build or the App Store build
- standard details that the TelemetryDeck software adds to every signal: the app version and build number; your iPhone model, iOS version, screen size and orientation, and time zone; your language, region and text direction; whether the build is a test build, a TestFlight build or the App Store build; the date and hour of the signal; your Accessibility settings (such as Reduce Motion, Bold Text and text size); and a few counts of use, such as the date you first opened the app, how many days and sessions you have used it, and how long a session lasts
- an anonymous identifier. It is made from a code that is the same for all our apps on your phone. TelemetryDeck scrambles it on your phone and again on its servers. It is not your Apple Account or your advertising ID, and we cannot link it to you
These signals never include your saved numbers, your picks, your Pro status (the purchase events above only say that a purchase happened), names, email address, location or anything you type. TelemetryDeck processes them under its own privacy policy.
Fetching new results
To show new draws, the app downloads results from our server, which runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, the server receives standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address. The app also sends a fixed label that says the request comes from the app. Our server does not keep request logs, so we do not store your IP address. We use this information only to deliver results and keep the service secure, and we do not use it to identify you. Results themselves come from LotteryResultsFeed and NY Open Data.
Alerts (notifications)
Alerts are off until you turn on Midday or Evening alerts in Me. When you do, the app sends our server:
- a push token, which is a code Apple gives your phone so a notification can reach it
- whether this is a test build or the App Store build
- which games (Pick 3, Win 4, Take 5) and which draw times (Midday, Evening) you follow
We do not receive your numbers or the names you give them, and the token is not linked to your name or email.
When a new result is ready, our server sends a short message through Apple’s push service. It says that the results are in, and it carries the draw’s game, date and numbers, which are public. Your phone can then check the result against your saved numbers and write a more personal message. That check happens on your phone, and your numbers never leave it.
Here is what our server keeps, and for how long:
- For each phone: the token, the push setting (test or App Store), the games and draw times it follows, when the token was first saved, when it was last updated, and when an alert was last delivered to it. We delete these as described below.
- For each send: the game, draw time and date, the token, and whether the send is waiting, sent or failed. We also keep how many times we tried, when we will try again, the answer from Apple (accepted, try again, or rejected, with the short reason Apple gives, and its status number), and the times the record was made and changed. We use this so that we do not send the same alert twice or lose one. We delete these records 14 days after the draw, or sooner if the token is deleted.
- For each draw: a note that we have sent its alerts, with the game, draw time, date and time. It holds no token, and we delete old notes after 14 days.
- Test records: when we test alerts during development, a send record can also hold the sample numbers of that test. Test messages go only to test builds, never to the App Store build, and they never carry your numbers.
We do not keep your IP address, your location, your name, your email, your saved numbers or any purchase details with these records.
We delete your token and your choices from our server in three cases: when you turn alerts off (both alerts off, or all your saved numbers removed), when Apple tells us the token no longer works, and when 90 days pass without an alert being delivered to your phone. If you delete the app, one of the last two happens.
If you email us
The app can open an email draft to send us feedback or suggest a rule. If you send it, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve the app, and we delete them on request.
Payments
Lotto Partner Pro is an optional subscription. Apple handles the purchase and the payment. We do not receive your payment details, your name or your Apple Account. The app asks Apple on your phone whether your subscription is active. It keeps the end date of your subscription on your phone, so Pro works without a connection. That date is also shared with the alert part of the app on your phone. It is never sent to our server.
Age
Lotto Partner is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Sharing
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to track you. The only services that process data for us are TelemetryDeck (anonymous usage counts), Cloudflare (delivering results and storing your alert settings) and Apple (delivering alerts). These services may process data outside your country.
Keeping data
Anonymous usage counts are kept by TelemetryDeck according to its policy. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Alert data is kept until you turn alerts off, as described above, and send records are deleted after 14 days. A token with no delivered alert in 90 days is deleted each day by a clean-up job. Everything else stored in the app stays on your device until you delete it.
Your choices
- Erase app data with Delete everything in Me, or by deleting the app.
- Turn alerts off in Me or in iPhone Settings. Turning both Midday and Evening off in Me also deletes your token and choices from our server.
- Ask us about any email you have sent us, or ask us to delete it, at support@beyondobsessive.com.
Not affiliated with the New York Lottery
Lotto Partner is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the New York Lottery or the New York State Gaming Commission. Always confirm a win with official New York Lottery results before claiming a prize.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
